The Lutenist

Linnea thought I should try learning to play the lute so I purchased a beginner 8 course (8 rows of strings)
Renaissance lute. The instrument is daunting! What is it about the plucked string sound that is so inviting?
Here is a pen and Ink I did thinking about the lute players of the past.  Did you know the Lute came from the Egyptian 'Oud?...and that the Oud had it's beginnings from the Chinese 'Pipa'?

The great St. Teresa of Avila

One of the great personages in history, this woman, Teresa of Avila, is one that all women might find inspirational. I certainly do and I'm a guy.
